COURSE OVERVIEW:
The topics include:
• Basic principles of statics;
• Structural systems and components,
• Design of concrete, wood, and steel structures;
• Analysis and selection of appropriate structures;
• Tributary and load path analysis;
• Structural design principles for beams, columns,
trusses, footings & foundation systems;
• Design of structural systems for lateral forces.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
To prepare candidates to take this challenging and broad-based structural portion of the Architect Registration Examination comprised of:
• Practice Management
• Project Management
• Programming & Analysis
• Project Planning & Design
• Project Development & Documentation
• Construction & Evaluation
