Lorena Knezevic is a third-year student at the University of Miami, School of Architecture. Intensely passionate about her work, you can always find her hovering in studios in the late hours of the night working on her projects, both in architecture and other means of self-expression.

Apart from her wide circle of interests her principle focus and passion for Architecture expanded year after year through her internships with Robert A.M. Stern Architecture, Looney Ricks Kiss Architecture and RAD Architecture Miami in addition to participating in design charrettes and winning first place in design-build competitions with her team mates.

Since attending the University of Miami, Ms. Knezevic has completed her Minor in Art as well as remained very involved on campus as Event’s Chair of the AIAS Chapter, one of the President’s 100 Student Ambassadors, and an assistant instructor at SalsaCraze, the Latin dance club on campus.

Her appetite for design was initially founded in fashion. She created her first collection of clothing at age sixteen and proceeded to present the next four seasons of her designs at seven fashion shows including Tampa Bay and Jacksonville Fashion Week. The Scholastic Young Artists and Writers Awards recognized her variety of talents in wearable art, writing, illustration and even film through granting her Gold Key Awards for five consecutive years of competition.

When future career decisions needed to be made, Ms. Knezevic found that her artistic endeavors and academic initiatives best surmised in architecture. She sees architecture as the ideal platform for a collaboration of ideas, people and design. Ms. Knezevic is extremely motivated to work with others in pursuit of building a more beautiful, more integrated world through the art of architecture.
